The exotic Madagascar
The exotic Madagascar is located on the southeast coast of Africa in the Indian ocean and is the fourth largest island in the world. The island is rich in tradition and culture and is home to around 250,000 species of animals and birds, many of which are not found anywhere else.
Places to visit in Madagascar-
- Antananarivo- Capital of Madagascar, this place has the world’s second largest market, the Zoma market.
- Mahajanga- Located at the mouth of river Betsiboka, this island is an excellent beach destination.
- Nossi Be- Situated near northwest Madagascar, Nossi Be is a perfect destination for tourists who want to experience beach resort holiday. The island of Sainte Marie is another popular beach resort destination of Madagascar.
- Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park- Designated as a World Heritage Site in 1990, the park is one of the only habitats for some uncommon chameleon species, several lemur species and Madagascar fish eagle.
Madagascar’s flora and fauna- Madagascar has one of the most diverse fauna on the planet earth, consisting of around 12000 species of plants. Many of Madagascar’s palm plants are not found anywhere else and it has nearly 1000 known species of orchids.
